- Safety and communication records, such as SOS requests, wellbeing checks, notifications, support requests, and related timestamps.
- Device, app, and diagnostic information, such as device model, operating system version, app activity, crash data, performance data, notification tokens, locale, and similar technical data.
- Information generated when you use internet-status or background-sharing features.
How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- create and manage accounts;
- authenticate users and secure the service;
- provide location sharing, connection management, notifications, SOS features, and wellbeing checks;
- store and display profile images and account details;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot, improve, and monitor the service;
- detect fraud, abuse, misuse, and security incidents;
- respond to support requests and communicate with users;
- comply with law and enforce our Terms.
How Information Is Shared
We may share information:
- with the family members, contacts, or other people you choose or authorize to connect with through the service;
- with service providers that support authentication, hosting, storage, messaging, analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, mapping, and similar operational needs;
- when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request;
- to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, My Family Safe, and our service providers;
- in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction;
- with your consent or at your direction.

My Family Safe may rely on third-party products and infrastructure, including cloud, authentication, messaging, analytics, storage, and map providers. Those providers may process information on our behalf according to their own terms and privacy practices.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention

Retention periods may vary by data type. Copies of information may remain in backups, logs, or archived systems for a limited period even after deletion requests are processed.

You can also control some information directly in the app, including certain profile fields, connected relationships, and permission-based features such as location sharing and notifications. If you delete your account or ask us to delete information, we may retain information that we reasonably need for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backup integrity, or enforcement purposes.
Account deletion is available directly in the app through Menu > Delete Account.
Children and Minors
My Family Safe is not intended to be used by children without authorization from a parent, guardian, or other legally responsible adult where such authorization is required. If you allow a minor to use the service, you are responsible for that use and for providing any notices and consents required by applicable law.
International Processing
Information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection rules than your home country.
Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When required, we will provide notice through the app or by other reasonable means. The updated version becomes effective when posted or otherwise communicated.
